Stroopwafel.io
Challenge
Stroopwafel.io was running a self-managed Kubernetes cluster that required two full-time engineers to maintain. Deployments took 40 minutes. On-call rotations were affecting morale.
Solution
They migrated to Toast Powered Server over a single weekend, moving 14 microservices to Loaf instances and replacing their self-managed PostgreSQL cluster with Toastbase. The Butter middleware layer replaced a custom-built API gateway.
Result
Deployment time dropped from 40 minutes to 90 seconds. The two infrastructure engineers were reassigned to product work. On-call incidents decreased by 73% in the first quarter.

Krummel & Co
Challenge
Krummel & Co needed to achieve SOC 2 Type II compliance to close an enterprise contract. Their existing infrastructure had no audit logging, inconsistent access controls, and no formal incident response process.
Solution
Toast Powered Server's compliance-ready infrastructure provided the audit trail, access controls, and incident documentation required for SOC 2. The Crust Monitoring add-on provided the log retention and alerting the auditors required.
Result
SOC 2 Type II certification achieved in six weeks. The enterprise contract was signed. Krummel & Co subsequently expanded to the Stroopwafel Tier for custom SLA terms.

Hagelslag Cloud
Challenge
Hagelslag Cloud's e-commerce platform experiences a 40x traffic spike every year in late November and early December. Their previous provider required manual capacity planning two months in advance and still failed during peak hours.
Solution
Stack auto-scaling handled the traffic surge automatically. The Pepernoot seasonal batch product processed their end-of-year order backlog overnight. Marmalade CDN absorbed the static asset load.
Result
Zero downtime during the Sinterklaas peak. Order processing completed 6 hours ahead of schedule. They renewed on Sourdough Pro and added the Pepernoot seasonal product to their annual plan.
